Growing up in Washington, Scott doesn’t remember a time when his family was not involved in the fruit industry. He always had orchards of cherries, peaches, apricots, pears or apples. From those roots, he had the opportunity to work with some of the best growers, packers, and shippers in Washington state. While working with these industry leaders, he attended university and earned a management and marketing degree. This fit well with his dream to continue working in the fruit industry. Dealing with the marketing and brokerage end of things, in addition to working with the corporate and family orchards, he saw all aspects of the industry. He understands how corporate and family orchards both play a role in the world market and how that knowledge can come into play in his own orchards.

BRENDABrenda grew up in a farming family and worked in the business world for 30 years. However, it didn't take long before she was looking for something different to invest in. Being an Alberta native, there wasn’t much for fresh fruit outside of the normal strawberries, raspberries, and odd apple tree. Brenda would find herself driving eight hours every year to get fresh peaches for herself and friends. So, when the opportunity came up to invest in a cherry orchard in Washington, she took it, bringing Scott on as her advisor/mentor.
